Welcome to Heidelberg University!

A very warm welcome to all students who are beginning their courses at Heidelberg University in the 2020/2021 winter semester. We had planned a first-semester welcome session with the Rector on 2 November, followed by a “freshers’ fair”, but have sadly had to cancel it in view of the current rate of infection with COVID-19. However, the Rector will send all – and particularly new – students a greeting via email and video as a curtain-raiser to the lecture period with good wishes for their studies. So that you get off to a good start, in spite of the restrictive conditions in these times of pandemic, we offer you tips and information, advice and accompaniment services, and individual support.
