SEMESTER EVENTS PROGRAMMELanguage Course: German for Business

Assuming a pre-existing level of at least  B2 in German, this course is designed to further develop international students’ German language skills. The course focuses on topics and themes relating to business. Areas covered may include economic history, capital and financial markets, international business and trade relations. Individual subjects can be considered in more detail depending on course participants’ particular interests. Areas of increased focus might also depend on the participants’ language skills.

The course aims to improve students’ knowledge and usage of vocabulary, grammar, specialist terminology, oral and written language with relevance to business communication.

 There will be an optional final exam for this course.

Intended Course Participants:
Students from any subject area who are not native speakers of German and who are enrolled in a degree programme at Heidelberg University (Bachelor’s degree or state examination)
