Excursions programmeStrassbourg

Saturday, 18 January

Our first trip of the new year will take us to the French city of Strasbourg. Discover this wonderful Alsatian city, and see just how closely French, German and European history are intertwined in this unique region.

After a tour of Strasbourg’s old town (UNESCO World Heritage site) and the former tanners quarter, “La Petite France”, as well as a visit to the impressive Roman-Gothic cathedral with its unique astronomic clock, we’ll head to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The Museum is one of the largest of its kind in France and houses collections of paintings, sculptures, graphics, multimedia, and design dating from 1870 to today.

Of course, a visit to the “capital of Europe” wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the European Quarter and the European Parliament.
