Festive participation in the celebrations for the Rottweiler “Fasnet” (carnival), which according to Swabian-Alemannic tradition takes place on Shrove Tuesday.

From the time the bell rings at 2.00 pm, the Rottweiler fools in historical costumes and hand-carved masks made of lime wood organise a parade lasting several hours, the so-called "Narrensprung". After a guided tour of Rottweil, we wait together at the Black Gate for the bell to strike and follow the Narrensprung through the historic town centre.
