Services
Support
HEDIT supports and promotes Heidelberg edition projects directly in various ways. The research centre provides staff through a pool of assistants, which HEDIT members can use as needed and upon request. Members also have the option of accessing a fund for financial support for their edition projects. Additionally, the research centre finances and grants licences, for example for software.

Support and Assistance
HEDIT's main task is to support and advise researchers in the planning and successful realisation of editing projects in Heidelberg. To this end, we offer the following services:
- The research centre acts as an intermediary for editing projects, whether in planning or already underway, and connects them with the central institutions of Heidelberg University that can assist in their implementation.
- HEDIT supports projects in obtaining third-party funding: Based on the evaluation of project applications, guidelines for planning an editing project will be developed to assist with planned projects.
- The research centre offers members financial support and a pool of assistants for their editing projects.
- HEDIT also provides equipment, digital tools and licences for editorial work.
- Training courses on the basics of digital and analogue editing are also offered, which are open to all HEDIT members.
- Regular workshops provide an opportunity to reflect on editorial activities at Heidelberg University and bring researchers into contact with one another.
