Saori Dubourg was a member of the BASF SE Board of Executive Directors from May 2017 until February 2023. She was responsible for crop protection, construction chemicals and bioscience research, as well as for the Europe region. Saori Dubourg worked for BASF in different functions since 1996, including several years in the USA, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Dubourg’s professional experience covers both strategy and operations, e.g. in dispersion, monomers and superabsorbers, nutrition and care chemicals. In addition, she served as senior vice-president for global HR executive management and development at BASF and president with responsibility for all companies and functional units in the Asia-Pacific region. From 2013 to May 2017 Dubourg was president of the segment nutrition and health.

Dubourg was also a member of BASF’s Corporate Sustainability Board from 2012 to 2023, which aims to implement the BASF sustainability goals. 

Saori Dubourg and her family live in Heidelberg. She is interested in the future of corporate management, current business issues and modern art.

She has been a member of the University Council since 2018.
