Heidelberg UniversityVaccination Drive Has Been Extended

18 March 2022

Mobile vaccination teams provide further vaccination opportunities in March and April for staff and students along with all other members of the university and the student services organisation (Studierendenwerk Heidelberg)

The vaccination drive jointly organised by Heidelberg University and its student services organisation has been extended: leading up to the beginning of the lecture period in the summer semester 2022, another five opportunities for vaccination will be available in the Old City and on the Im Neuenheimer Feld Campus. They are intended for all members of the university – students, in particular – and the student services organisation, as well as their children from twelve years of age.

On 22 March, 5 April and 19 April, the mobile vaccination team of the Rhine-Neckar District health authority will carry out vaccinations from 9am to 3pm in the parent-child Café Einhorn of the Triplex Mensa in the Old City. Vaccination is possible in the InfoCafé International of the central refectory (Mensa), on the Im Neuenheimer Feld Campus, on 29 March and 12 April from 9am to 3pm.

On offer are first, second and third vaccinations, with the booster being possible at the earliest three months after completion of the basic immunisation. Those desiring vaccination between the ages of twelve and 30 will receive vaccine from BioNTech/Pfizer, over 30-year-olds optionally vaccine from BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. No prior appointment is required.

All information about the current vaccination opportunities is available on the Coronavirus website of Heidelberg University.
