University Ruperto Carola Summer Party: Celebrating Diversity!
8 July 2025
The festive event for all members of the university and all those connected to it will take place on 11 July
With “Celebrating diversity!” as the motto, Heidelberg University is inviting its members and all those connected to it to attend its traditional Ruperto Carola Summer Party. Rector Prof. Dr Frauke Melchior is looking forward to welcoming university members, friends, supporters and alumni of the university to come and enjoy themselves together in the heart of the old city. The historical Marstall quadrangle will be the venue on 11 July 2025 for a swinging summer evening with conversations, dancing and music. The Summer Party starts at 6 p.m.
“In the final spurt of the summer semester – in the midst of concentrated work and the occasional hectic rush – we want to pause and live our cohesion together”, Frauke Melchior says, inviting people to bring their children, relatives and friends to the Ruperto Carola Summer Party as well. Visitors can look forward to various activities and performances, and the Teddy Fonda Combo will fill the dance floor with its engaging live music. The University Choir conducted by Michael Sekulla will also take part again. The Heidelberg Student Services Organization (Studierendenwerk) will treat visitors to food and beverages.
