Vice-Rector ResearchJörg Pross

Geoscientist Prof. Dr Jörg Pross is Vice-Rector for Research and First Vice-Rector. He directs the Palynology and Paleoenvironmental Research Group at the Institute of Earth Sciences.

As Vice-Rector, he is responsible for the implementation of Excellence Strategy measures, provision and optimisation of research infrastructures, promotion and expansion of interdisciplinary research consortia, inter-university cooperation within the Heidelberg Karlsruhe Strategic Partnership (HEiKA), and cooperation with non-university research organisations.
