The finale brings together ideas from two focus areas: “Health and Future Technologies” and “Impact Innovation.” The finalists come from a variety of academic disciplines and showcase the wide range of innovative thinking at Heidelberg University. An interdisciplinary jury will evaluate the contributions, while the audience will decide the winner of the Audience Award.

In addition to the pitches, the program includes a panel discussion with former participants and winners of the competition, as well as the award ceremony. Afterwards, the afterparty in the new Idea Room invites guests to end the evening with food and drinks and connect with finalists and jury members. Doors open at 4 p.m.

The hei_INNOVATION Ideas Competition at Heidelberg University gives students, doctoral researchers, staff members, and alumni the opportunity to submit and further develop innovative ideas with social, economic, or ecological potential. Submissions undergo a multi-stage selection process and are evaluated by hei_INNOVATION and an external jury from business, culture, and research.
