Remember the UniversityYour wishes and ideas

We have numerous options available to you to support Heidelberg University through your estate. You can make a donation either during your lifetime or posthumously. Get to know some examples on this page.

Restricted estate

You want to put your ideas into action and you know already what your estate should be used for, then you can set up a fund in your name within the University’s corporate assets. The proceeds of this fund will be used respecting your ideas and wishes.

Estate Christine Jung

According to Mrs Jung’s last will, the annual proceeds resulting from her assets, are used to support the field of medicine by awarding doctoral scholarships, each year.

Estate Dipl.-Phys. Horst Augst

The proceeds resulting from his estate are used to support young researchers studying at the Department of Physics and Astronomy by awarding doctoral scholarships.

Estate Erika Korn

The Seminar of Philosophy was made heir of Mrs Korn's assets in memory of her son who died in 1984 and who was also a former student of the Seminar.

Unrestricted estate

You want to make sure that Heidelberg University is able to take future challenges and requirements and do not have any specific ideas? Then you can make the University heir by leaving an estate that does not include specific conditions.

Estate Krauß

Mrs Magdalena Kraus bequeathed the University with her assets and a property. The Rector of the University will then decide how the estate will be used depending on current needs.

Own wishes and ideas

We are, of course, open to your individual wishes and ideas and will be happy to discuss how to implement them. You can also support the thematic funds (e.g. the Scientific Heritage Fund). Please feel free to contact us.

Kaufmann Peters Foundation

Thanks to the Kaufmann-Peters Foundation an elite funding programme for chemistry students has been set up since the 2016 | 2017 winter semester. Each year, four especially gifted students are awarded a funding of 300 € per month for a maximum of two years. This elite funding programme makes sure that only the best students receive a funding.
