Opportunity fund for greater visibility and participation

With our newly established Opportunity Fund, we at Heidelberg University want to expand our scope through targeted offers and measures, break down barriers in everyday academic life and enable greater participation. The aim is to use appropriate measures to provide people with disabilities with the best possible conditions for studying or working.

Funds from the Opportunity Fund will be used, among other things, to

• implement measures to improve accessibility in everyday life on campus,
• finance support services for those affected,
• enable the increased use of sign language interpreters at events/lectures,
• provide psychological and social emergency assistance in special situations,
• enable counselling in conflict situations, and
• create safe spaces for neurodivergent individuals.
