IT job fair Career planning with ice cream

In mid-July, Heidelberg University hosted an IT job fair where companies and organizations presented themselves to students and graduates of Heidelberg University. This year, Heidelberg Alumni International was there with a soft ice cream stand.

This year's IT job fair, traditionally organized once a year by the Career Service of heiSKILLS, the competence and language center of Heidelberg University, was very busy. Numerous students and graduates came to the Chemistry Lecture Hall Center in Neuenheimer Feld. They took the opportunity to find out about potential employers and make personal contact with them.

Special highlights included a free professional application photo shoot and the soft ice cream stand organized by Heidelberg Alumni International — a welcome refreshment given the amount of information and intense discussions that took place during the day. At the same time, HAI staff members who manned the stand got to meet many students and graduates and provided information about the alumni association.  

In cooperation with other departments at Heidelberg University, such as the Career Service, as well as committed alumni, HAI offers numerous career services for interested students and young graduates. These career-promoting events and projects are financed by donations from alumni. We would like to express our gratitude for this support, also on behalf of the students!
