HAI Members in Germany

Wherever you go – the next HAI member is not far away. Within Germany: in all federal states, in all urban centres. Heidelberg throughout Germany.

Many hearts have been lost in Heidelberg, some alumni have not even left the beautiful city on the Neckar after graduation, others have found their place elsewhere, in another metropolitan region. Germany is divided into eleven metropolitan regions, some of which span several federal states. They reflect the major metropolitan centres of the country, i.e. those areas where the population density is particularly high. This structural division essentially corresponds to the nationwide distribution of HAI members and enables the targeted placement of offers and activities in the regions where most alumni live and can therefore benefit most from the network offers.

As current students, employees and academics who still live in the Rhine-Neckar region also participate in the HAI network, there is a clear south-north divide in the distribution of HAI members in Germany. This results in a regional focus that influences the geographical distribution of network activities.

Wherever you go, you are sure to quickly locate the Heidelbergers in your new surroundings, and the connection to Heidelberg University will not remain hidden for long. You too can help to promote networking and exchange in the most important metropolitan areas in the country and strengthen the connection with each other and with Heidelberg University through joint activities.
