Full-time studies
Most degree programmes at Heidelberg University are offered as full-time programmes. A full-time degree programme requires students to invest 40 hours per week and is therefore the equivalent of a full-time job. Those 40 hours include time physically spent at university, e.g., attending lectures or seminars. They further include the time required to prepare or follow up on courses and examinations. The duration of a full-time degree programme depends on the respective programme. In general, a Bachelor’s programme can be completed in six semesters and a Master’s degree programme in four semesters.
