Deciphering and encoding – texts as the
embodiment of culture and science. Two fragments of a late Assyrian
clay tablet from the 7th century BC, a gradual of 1463 from Salem
monastery now in the possession of the University Library, and a
section of the complete gene map of a bacterium. Together they
symbolise the broad spectrum of research at Heidelberg University. | ||||
