The University Guest Houses
The guest house for scholars and their families in Neuenheimer Feld 370 was officially opened in September 1997. Supported by the "Unterländer Studienfonds", a public endowment of the university, it is made up of 57 one-room apartments (24 m²), 26 two-room apartments (45 m²), 3 three-room apartments (85 m²) as well as two handicapped-equipped apartments.
In June 2005, another guest house was opened in Neuenheimer Feld 371. On the floors belonging to the university, there are eight one- to four-room apartments. Two lifts in the centre of the building give access to the upper floors.

The guest house is located on the university campus next to the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), several university clinics, and the Max-Planck-Institutes for Medical Research and International Law. For scholars working at institutes in the city centre, there are good public transport facilities from the guest house.
