EU Projects
Advisory Service
The EU team and Heidelberg Research Service in the Research Division help prepare applications for research funding from the European Commission and other international funding organisations.
- The Heidelberg Research Service team provides initial information on the EU programmes and EU research funding.
- For the current calls for proposals within the EU Framework Programme, go to the Participant Portal.
- Instructions for completing the A2 forms for EU applications can be found in the sample application (download on the right).
- Initial funding from the Central Research Pool can be requested from the Research Division.
Participant Identity Code (PIC)
The unique Participant Identity Code (PIC) for every participating organisation in the 7th EU Research Framework Programme is assigned through the EU registration system (URF). Legal and financial information (as well as other documentation) is saved with the PIC Code. This data does not need to be resubmitted with every application or for contract negotiations. Every institution has only one PIC Code, i.e. valid for all EU projects of an institution.
Heidelberg University:
PIC: 999987648
Legal name: RUPRECHT-KARLS-UNIVERSITÄT HEIDELBERG
Short name: UHEI
