DFG and State Funding
Advisory Service
Heidelberg Research Service provides information on funding of basic research through the DFG and the state as well as assistance with legal questions. Furthermore, Heidelberg Research Service provides advice and support in submitting an application to one of the many foundations in Germany.
For coaching on preparing applications for special research areas and DFG research training groups, Heidelberg Research Service offers advisory meetings and reviews.
Important: Calls for proposals from state funding programmes usually come through the Research Division. The submission deadlines are very strict; ergo it is extremely important that the application dates specified by the Research Division are adhered to.
Liaison Officer
For certain funding programmes, guidelines require that the DFG liaison officer at the given university provide instruction on the application process and that the application so indicates.

For large, externally funded projects, the Heidelberg Research Service can assume responsibility for coordination and project management. Services include financial management, advisory services and legal support, knowledge transfer, and in cooperation with UniTT Event Management, consulting, planning and holding scientific conferences and events.
