BMBF and Federal Ministries

Advisory Service

The Heidelberg Research Service provides assistance with applications for funding through the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). In addition to the BMBF, the following ministries fund research projects at Ruperto Carola: Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI); Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU); Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV).

Important: Only legal persons, i.e. Heidelberg University, may submit applications to federal ministries and their executing agencies; individual researchers, institutes or faculties may not. All applications must be reviewed and signed by the registrar (or her representative, in some cases). Please allow a minimum of six working days for review and signature of your application.

Project Management

The research division provides support for third-party funding and project management. For large, externally funded projects, the Heidelberg Research Service can assume responsibility for coordination and project management. Services include financial management, advisory services and legal support, knowledge transfer, and in cooperation with UniTT Event Management, consulting, planning and holding scientific conferences and events.
