Working for International Organisations

20 05 2009
Information on the subject from Heidelberg University’s Career Service and the Federal Foreign Office — 8 June 2009, 6 p.m., lecture hall No. 1, New University
International organisations and the Federal Foreign Office offer a wide range of jobs for university graduates, both in Germany and elsewhere. They regularly hire new staff in the fields of consular representation, the administration of justice, international business promotion, internal administration, cultural matters, press and publicity work and protocol.

On 8 June a member of the Federal Foreign Office’s coordination unit for international personnel policy will present and describe internships, recruitment programmes and job opportunities in the European Union, the United Nations and other international organisations. The main focus of the presentation will be on application procedures and employment prospects, including advice on things to bear in mind when applying to an international organisation for a job. After the presentation all members of the audience will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.

Admission is free of charge. The venue is lecture hall No. 1, New University, Grabengasse 3.
