The University of Heidelberg is up among the leaders in law, biology and chemistry. This is the outcome of the university ranking undertaken by the job and business magazine Junge Karriere. In collaboration with Kienbaum business consultants, the magazine asked the personnel managers of 600 major German companies what kind of higher-education institution provided the best education in the nine most important subjects.
Another finding from the survey is that 85 percent of the personnel managers believe that graduates from top state-run universities have the best career chances in their companies. Only 28 percent thought that graduates from private universities would have the same opportunities.
