From September 21 - 23, 2006 the University of Heidelberg will host the 16th ZMBH Forum
The Forum unites leading bioscientists from all over the world to present their research on a common global subject. This year the talks will center around the mechanisms of cellular quality control. How cells react to defective molecules and how cellular integrity is maintained are issues that will be discussed, as will processes of molecular ageing and degeneration leading to diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
Among the speakers coming to Heidelberg this year are Don Cleveland, Ari Helenius, Stefan Jentsch, Walter Keller, Lynne Maquat, Jonathan Weissman and Peter Walter. The ZMBH Forum is an open meeting without fees. This will allow young scientists to meet and listen to international top scientists without requiring a big travel budget. Details can be obtained from the ZMBH website http://www.zmbh.uni-heidelberg.de.
