Worth 250,000 euros, the Lautenschläger Research Prize is Germany’s most generously endowed research award from a private source. The donor is the co-founder of the MLP company, Manfred Lautenschläger. In its latest broadcast Campus TV not only shows the presentation ceremony in the Great Hall of the University of Heidelberg but also features the two prize-winners, Professor Matthias Hentze of EMBL Heidelberg and Professor Andreas Kulozik of the University of Heidelberg.

The two scientists explain the objectives of their research project and take viewers on a tour of their ultra-modern laboratories, a location devoted to the science of tomorrow. The programme can be seen on the RNF Plus channel every Thursday, Friday and Sunday until 28 October.
