Personal Information
ANNIKA HERBEL studied Political Science, French and American Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany and at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques Strasbourg, France. In September 2012, she received her Magister Artium (M.A.) from Mainz University. In her master thesis, she analyzed EU actorness and effectiveness in climate change negotiations after the Treaty of Lisbon. From October 2012 to March 2013, she worked as a lecturer at Mainz University.
Since June 2013, she is a research assistant with the DFG project “Effective Control of European Union Politics by National Parliaments” at the Institute of Political Science, Heidelberg University.
Her research interests include European Union politics, (EU) foreign policy, Europeanization and international institutions.
