Research Summary:

The ability to learn and form memories requires the activation of gene expression. DNA is packaged into chromatin, thus gene transcription activation involves the activity of epigenetic factors that regulate the accessibility to the DNA and modify chromatin structure. In our laboratory we aim at understanding how DNA methylation regulates gene transcription during memory formation.
