Research Summary
Our work is focused on the modulation of regeneration and plasticity in the injured, adult nervous system using animal models of traumatic CNS injury and in vitro assays of axonal growth and neuronal survival. Our goal is to better understand processes involved in normal brain function, to elucidate mechanisms contributing to injury and disease of the nervous system, and to establish novel targets and techniques for therapeutic intervention.
