Location of the guesthouses
The guesthouses are located on the university campus Im Neuenheimer Feld. Many instituts and research institutions as well as the cafeteria are within walking distance. With the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ), the Centre of Molecular Biology (ZMBH), several university clinics and the Max-Planck-Institutes for Medical Research and International Law nearby, the guesthoueses are e.g. an ideal base for visiting scientists working in the fields of medicine and the natural sciences. Scholars working at institutes in the city centre have quick access to the old town or e.g. campus Bergheim by bus (bus stop with a direct connection directly on site), tram oder bike. In addition, leisure activities such as the botanical garden, the Tiergarten-schwimmbad (open-air swimming pool) or the Heidelberg Zoo are in the immediate vicinity of the guesthouses. [More...]

Arriving by tram / bus
From the central station take the tram no. 21 or 24 and get off at stop "Jahnstraße/Chirurgie" or take the bus no. 32 and get off at stop "Uni-Campus".
From the centre (Bismarckplatz) take the tram no. 21 and get off at stop "Jahnstraße/Chirurgie" or take the bus no. 32 and get off at stop "Uni-Campus" .
The Heidelberg University Guesthouses are about three minutes walk from the bus stop “Uni-Campus” and 10 minutes walk from the tram stop "Jahnstraße/Chirurgie".Arriving by car
Drive towards the main station, then proceed northwards across the Ernst-Walz bridge over the Neckar river, keep on the left-hand lane and follow the signs to "Chirurgie". Leave the car on the parking lot outside the grounds of the Surgical Hospital (barrier), in the vicinity of the Institute of Pathology, the University Construction Works Office and the Institute of Zoology.
For guests arriving by their own car, parking places right next to the guesthouses are available on prior arrangement with the guesthouse administration. Restricted parking for unloading purposes is also permitted on prior arrangement.
