Our laboratory explores unknown roles of RNA in biology. Furthermore, we utilize nucleic acids as tools in catalysis research, nanotechnology and pharmaceutical chemistry. Another research focus is the development of bioorthogonal chemical methods for labeling biomolecules. Our work combines organic synthesis with molecular biology, enzymology and modern bioanalytical methods.
