Walksafe

Walksafe is the name of a strategy established ten years ago to improve safety for women on the Neuenheimer Feld Campus – especially during night time.

At dusk, women students and employees of Heidelberg University and the Clinical Centre in the Neuenheimer Feld can call an escort service. A member of the security guard escorts them from the laboratory or auditorium to the car, the tram, bus stop or the dormitory.

Employees and visitors of the Clinical Centre of Heidelberg University can ask a member of the security staff of the “Kopfklinik” for escort to the parking lot, the office or laboratory, the bus or the dormitory.
