Information on the Courses of Studies

Courses

Generally speaking, special courses for foreign students are not offered at the Seminar of Translating and Interpreting. We recommend students, however, to also consider courses offered throughout the University of Heidelberg. Both the Seminar for German as a Second Langauge (IDF, Ploeck 55) and the Central Language Lab (ZSL, Ploeck 79-81), as well as the Institute for Political Sciences (IPW, Marstallstraße 6) and all of the seminars in Philology may be of interest.

Allocation of ECTS credits

The ECTS credits are recorded in the transcript of records. As the courses at the SUED generally only run for one semester, all the ECTS credits are recorded per semester.

Active participation  in classes is assessed, as appropriate.

The average number of ECTS credits required are 30 per semester, i.e. 60 per academic year.
Only the workload is assessed, not the mark attained.
