Networking with external partners

Heidelberg University is surrounded by exceptional non-university research institutions. The long-standing cooperation with these partners enriches research and teaching at the university in a very special way. These close ties were further intensified during the first funding phase of the Excellence Initiative. During Excellence Initiative II, the relationships forged with the non-university research institutions in Heidelberg as well as cooperations with other regional partners in science, business and society are to evolve into institutions.
