IMIM Spring School 2018

In 2016 the Medical Faculty Mannheim launched the first and up to date only Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree of Heidelberg University – integrating it into its MSc. programme “Translational Medical Research”. The “International Master in Innovative Medicine” (IMIM) is a two-year MSc. programme under the coordination of Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, in which students study at the interface between research and clinics at two of the three EU partner universities: Groningen, Heidelberg and Uppsala University. Integral part of the curriculum are several yearly shared events, among these the IMIM Spring School in Heidelberg. From February 28th to March 4th 2018 all IMIM first year students from the three universities will meet for a workshop on key competences such as communication, conflict management and team-work. During the weekend the IMIM management from all EU and four Latin American partner universities will be present at the Spring School to coordinate the students’ mobility, work on the curriculum and discuss the applications of students starting in 2018. As the IMIM programme has a strong focus on innovation and industry and thus has received an EIT Health label, Saturday March 3rd will be dedicated to entrepreneurship as well as interaction with EIT Health industrial partners and regional SMEs. It will close with a social event to further foster networking and interactions between students and industry/SMEs.
