In a teaching environment, students from diverse cultural backgrounds and study conditions are often brought together, which also means that ideas and expectations may clash. International Conference: Japan and the World
This three-day conference takes place at the Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" at the beginning of July. The international conference at Heidelberg University addresses Japan's opening up to the world in the 19th century and the influences of its reforms on world history.
